Stereo Tremolessence

Hello!
I would like to know if it would be possible to mod the Tremol to be able to have a 90° between left and right channel. Actually you can do 0° (both side in sync) or 180° (opposite), but 90° would be more "spacey"... The only pedal with that option is the Liquid Tremolo, but if the Tremolessence could do that it would be the greatest! Thanks!

I think the short answer would be no though I'm sure the good doc could whip it up as a patch to bit quest if that's stereo.

Cool question... in theory all you'd need to do is add a simple RC network, signal through a cap, resistor to ground/ref, and you'd have a perfect 90 degree phase shift. In the real world though you can't pull that off with one, you'd need two in series, and then you'd have introduced a big loss into the system, the phase shifted signal would probably lose half it's amplitude and require a lot of make-up gain.

So, short answer, considering how jam-packed the inside of the Trem already is, nope I don't think so.

And no, the BQ isn't gonna be stereo, Ian, geez! *smile*

What an idea for a decked out digital stereo tremolo pedal though... a patch where one knob controls the phase shift between the left and right modulating signals, going from syncing to panning with weird odd-phase points in between... pretty cool...

Yea I couldn't remember if the BQ was gonna be stereo or not.

You could even modulate the phase shift between the two modulating signals, make it so it goes from syncing to panning then back and all points in between.. could sound really trippy.. it'd be a really dynamic stereo effect for sure!

I'll do that on a digital stereo tremolo one day.. something like the BitQuest where there could even be more than 8 tremolo patches available and people could customize their choices a bit with a new memory chip..
