Either that or just do it. It's clear coated, so I don't see why it couldn't take it? I'm putting Velcro on mine.

Would 12 or 18 volts have any effect or damage? Those outputs on my power supply are always tempting me.

I wouldn't risk it, I believe that the SDD is 9v only. I'm sure Ryan will weigh in with the definitive answer soon enough, but until then I'd suggest erring on the side of caution.

Me thinks Colin is correct. The compander is designed to take a certain voltage, so if it says 9v it probably is 9v only.

Re: The I Love Fuzz Day Delay Oh Yeah!
This delay is spectacular.
One of the darkest, richest delays I've ever tried.
Love the big "Time" knob to alter the delay while playing.
Oscillation footswitch ramps up quite nicely and doesn't get too loud, unless you want it to.
I like the ability to turn the modulation on and off, though I don't see myself ever turning off the lush vibrato on the repeats.
I received it a few days ago and was instantly impressed but wanted to see if it was just the Honeymoon period of a new pedal. It's not.
Arguably my favorite delay pedal/favorite pedal.
Thank you Ryan.

I missed out, dang college eating away at my pedal funds! Any chance of adding a delay to your line of pedals Ryan? I'm putting another rig together once I get the funds and I would love to deck it out with your killer pedals!

Re: The I Love Fuzz Day Delay Oh Yeah!
Hey guys!
Tanya and I snuck away for a couple days in the mountains and then we saw Russell Brand in Calgary last night, so apologies for being away and I'm back at it now catching up with everything.
Loving the pictures guys, thanks for putting 'em up, and it's awesome to hear you're liking them too, that makes my day bigtime.
I haven't tried the ILFDD at different voltages yet but I don't expect the oscillator for the modulation will work at 18V.. give it a quick try, you won't hurt anything, everything can handle the higher voltage it's just that the compander circuit and the osc circuit are biased for 9V and they're both picky.. I betcha though that the delay line will work at higher voltages but the modulation won't...
Jon, #3 is all yours and thank you very much! 2 left!

Re: The I Love Fuzz Day Delay Oh Yeah!
I'll have a delay in my line again one day for sure, probably not until next year though.. I plan on using the Spin chip and making 8 different themed delay patches that would cover crystal clear repeats to warm/filtered/gritty ILFDD style repeats, all with 2 seconds or more of delay time, analog eq, analog mix, gonna be a ton of fun...

sounds freaking sweet!!! With that kind of delay versatility you may as well call it The Tardis. hahaha

I am pretty sure that I have read somewhere around here that he had some plans for an analog delay.... hm... probably its too much trouble...

Looking forward to that coming together next year!

Re: The I Love Fuzz Day Delay Oh Yeah!
OK guys, the ILFDD is officially sold out pending the choice of the final chooser!
Thank you very much again to all the ILFDD ownerers and Adam and Jeff, this was fun and cool and I hope you keep loving them forever and we'll definitely do something like this again in the future!
And don't worry if you missed out on these 32 ILFDDs.. that just means you're gonna win the one in the giveaway! I'll post what one is the giveaway guy and make arrangements with Tom.
So as for the future of Dr. Sci delay pedals... I'm not, at the moment, feeling the analog one. I mocked up a simple version months ago and just couldn't get into the V3205 chips, basically the only available analog chips for production.. I'm not sure they sound better than PT2399s! That's a controversial opinion and I didn't put barely any tweaking time into the circuit, so I'm just going off what I think would be more fun to learn with and grow with and adventure with and for right now, this summer/fall/winter, I don't want another massively complicated analog undertaking like the Cosmi v3. I'll do it one day I betcha but learning the Spin is too exciting and interesting to stop now!
