I recently acquired a Simms Watts AP 100. Its a great amp and is in amazing shape but is missing the logo, which looks like this-
I was thinking it would be cool to reproduce the original part but I think an etched and painted plate would be so much cooler, with your take on how it should look. Let me know if this is something you'd be in to.
I would totally be interested in something like that! Do you have the faceplate still? Was the logo glued to the plate or something? If its easy to remove, then I could definitely do something. Could go reverse etch with orange to match. Logo would be shiny aluminum to match the knobs and maybe some bordering and wetsanding with high grits to get it really shiny.
These new project ideas - pickguards, amp shells, faceplates are actually starting to appeal to me more than making pedals! I think my pedal making process has too many steps that seem to go on forever and ever. I need to simplify this shit!
Awesome! When I got the amp the faceplate was allready long gone. It looks like there were 4 screws or pins that help it in place. When I get home I'll measure and pm you the dimensions. This is going to be badass!

Re: Custom Shit
Rehoused my multiplex to use some board mounted controls to fuck up the tape speed instead of trimmers. Was gonna call it space shit. Changed it to spaceheater. Then I thought space eater was better. Now I wished it were space hole.

What is this? Sounds pretty excellent and the kosta namedroping stands for awesome stuff. Tabletop? Synth rig? Or guitar/normal pedal board oriented?

It's Gunna be a Maestro Filter/Sample and Hold stompbox. I've always been interested in the sample and hold. Flying to Canada on Sunday for a week so it'll be shelved till then
