Ever since I learned of them, I was really intrigued by the Fuzz/distortion blend idea, and if it's really anything like a Shin-Ei fuzz, then it's bound to be cool.

Well I can at least answer that when I get it, I have a Shin-Ei clone that I built so I can give a comparison :wha?:

Well, the punkifier should sound exactly like this molten bucket of fuzz....

If that is the case then I will like it. I remember it being crumbly sounding... but it's been over ten years so....

Could've been your amp. I'll guess 10 years ago you didn't have as awesome gear as you do now. :thumb:

I wasn't my amp and yes it was un-awesome....

My gear ten years ago.... I still have it.... lets see.... Well I'm still using the same bass as my main bass [I've had it since 93]... and I had my SVT-CL.... Paid for by painting a house in AZ in summer....

i don't think the Punkifier has hit that status just yet as you can still get one for b/w $40-50. i was gonna get one but i got the Classic Fuzz instead & considering the Punkifier is just a Fuzz and an OVERDRIVE it is not something i really want to stress myself out over.

I've got a Corrosion.
Its the same pedal as the pink fat pig and the metal X I think, just a different look.
It's very nasty, heaps of opamps, squeels like mad when you turn it up. Lots of treble content.

Does a passable Shellac tone set scooped with the dirt at 9 o'clock. Very metallic sounding.

I just got the FX12 "Tuna" tuner a week or so ago for $30. It works, but it's so hard to achieve the green led, I don't even try, too sensitive. :omg:

I have a Grunge, which is a fun noisy distortion. Gotta mod 'em a bit, though.

I also have two FX75C Flangers, and I chose them over a MIJ Boss BF-2.

So it got here, and I like it [sorry Blurillaz] it sounds way better then I thought it would. It kills on bass! Sounds good on guitar too.

You can do a lot with it, lots of sounds.

The OD side sounds better then a lot of ODs I've tried over the years.

The fuzz side it a bit cheesy in a good way.

Very hip pedal.

:stitch: Things were made in Utah no less

Back when I was first playing and DOD was still going strong I liked then a lot more then boss. Then I went through a boss period, now except for a few boxes I hate boss, but yet never stopped liking DOD. They were cheap and fun yet still gig worthy.

Glad to hear you appreciate it, I've heard many reviews saying it was horrible, but I don't believe them!
I doubt I could even buy it for you because I'm planning on blowing my pedal money on an old lo-fi type guitar. Haven't decided which, Leaning towards a Teisco ET-200... Or perhaps a Hagstrom model 3 if I can find one...

I loved my FX94 delay sampler when it was still working.

Great fun looping and tweaking. I got it before I had my pds20/20, DD20,and DL4. It holds its place among them.

That's cool. I love Teiscos. I have a Decca that was made by Teisco that aside from the hardware is a killer little guitar. I got it from a guy that was going to throw it in the trash
