I love their music but his lyrics are so cheesey, haha. Vagabond is still one of my favorites though. i was stoked when I heard it in 500 days of summer.

I’m a big fan of that stripped down sound.
Bass, drums and guitar, no fucking around.
I can’t watch them, they are too into the late ‘60s look, and yes the lyrics are cheesy

They are kinda cheesey, but definetly better than other bands that are frequently in Guitar World like that Dragonforce...
How to sound like Herman Lee-
1. Buy a guitar with a pointy headstock
2. Metal Zone-ify your sound, unmodded for maximum toanzes
3. Line 6 DL4
4. Tap random notes

Mike Patton puts himself in his place.

MP: My next project involves me mimicking 60s Italian music.
...
MP: What is this...are we reliving the 70s? Haven't we moved beyond this?
Guys on MP's nuts: Oh yeah, oh yeah!

That said, I enjoy various projects featuring Mike Patton.

I only like this type of stuff he does:

But even then, it's just lollin.

Although I don't see how he can talk shit about other bands when he does this:

I liked Wolfmother a lot when their first album came out but it got old really fast.

Oh, and Mike Patton is huge douche bag; only like 5% of his musical career is good.

Its actually not a blue box, its a microsynth. There's a part he talked about putting the old and new microsynth in a chain together. :omg:

Cool stuff.

Any excuse...

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.
