Strings!
for acoustic or electric,
What do you guys use?
Ive come to be a regular of d'adarrio phosphor bronze strings for my acoustic, i change them once a week.
and D'adarrio regular light gauge for electric as well.
i feel that there might be something better out there though,
any suggestions?

Re: Strings!
Well I’m a bass player so.
I use TI Jazz flats on every thing but my ‘51 P reissue.
It has GHS Precision flats on it.
My son and a couple of guitar playing friends swear by GHS Boomers for electric.

I think I have that same problem.

Re: Strings!
Acid sweat or alkaline sweat? Both will corrode strings.
Could be either, need litmus paper to test for sure, but a glass of OJ or grapefruit juice will help lower the alkaline levels.
I’m thinking alkaline, because of salt levels etc in the body.

TI Nickel Flatwounds on my Strat.
D'addario on my acoustic.
Pyramid Gold Flats on my Warwick Bass.
I really like Flatwounds. I don't know why they aren't more popular on Electric Guitar.

Re: Strings!
I’d love to hear an archtop string with the TI Jazz flats for guitar.

Re: Strings!
If I can find 'em, DR Pure Blues 11 gauge. If the store doesn't have those I'll just got with GHS Boomers 11 gauge.
for acoustic I'll do Martins or Elixers...13 gauge

Re: Strings!
For electric I used to go with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys (9s) which just feel so slinky and comfy but I'm using 11s now just because the toanz are so much better out of those and it makes playing more challenging for me which is always fun.
