Fuzz pedals don't seem to like low impedance input. I have a guitar with active EMGs in an SA/SA/81 config, going into a solid state Princeton Chorus (an astoundingly good amp...like a mini Jazz Chorus).
I'm a fan of Earthquaker -- I have a Disaster Transport and an Organizer and use them both a lot on the mono loop of the amp -- but I presume either the Dreamcrusher or the Hoof would have a problem with my pups. Is that correct?
If so, what fuzzes would sound good with this config?
What fuzz for EMG pickups and a Princeton Chorus?
