That's quite a steal.

I thought I wasn't going to get it for a minute there - a couple of people had auto-bid on, so there was a bit of frenzied rebidding towards the end.

I'm super-psyched about this - I've been looking for a good bitcrusher for a while now. Got a new song that would be tough to pull off live the way I want to without one...

My loss, your gain  The clips sounded impressive, good luck :thumb:

On a related note...what's the cheapest deal on a tonecore pedal/dock?
The verbzilla is worth a glance because it's actually a really nice reverb pedal (some prefer it to booteek verbs)...but it also seems to be the most expensive of the line.
I guess it's worth the extra scratch for the octo/ducking modes, but I'm just curious if anyone has scored some cheaper deals.

I scored a Crunchtone for $30 on a Musician's Friend "Stupid deal" yesterday, but I think that particular model is cheap even when it's not on sale... actually, looking at MF, it looks like that one's gone as a pedal. But the distortion and auto filter are both $99, and the docks are for sale individually - $79 for stereo, $69 for mono.

Cool!   And thank you, Curt & Eti, for making the big reveal about Red Panda here on ILF!

I hope that plenty of people buy the production models, so you can continue making inventive digital effects! There's too many digital effects out there that try to mimic analog, and just end up ticking tone purists off. People like you and the the WMD folks have the right idea (in my opinion) - use digital to make effects that analog doesn't do nearly as easily or as well.

There was a bitcrusher thread over at hcfx and I gave the red panda a mention.

There seems to be at least one guy interested so maybe you want to swing by there for some free press.

Re: special offer for ILF members

Post by curt »

We have a batch of 10 bitcrusher modules available to ILF members for $70 + shipping ($7 US, $30 international). 1 per person, PM me to get on the list. We'll send the first 10 people a PayPal invoice and ship your bit crusher the next business day after we receive your payment. And if you miss out on that deal, we have some for sale via our web site for $110 each. http://www.redpandalab.com/tc-bitcrusher/overview.html

Thanks for all of the positive feedback and encouragement :)

So eti and I talked, looked at other bit crushers, looked at our costs, and ended up at what we think is the lowest possible price: $85 per module :omg: But that makes $70 look like less of a good deal, so we'll throw in free U.S. shipping ($25 international) for the first 10 ILFers. Still got a few left - PM me if you're interested :thumb:

We'll also have some complete pedals - module plus stereo dock - available soon for $175 so you don't have to go to some seedy web site looking for a dock.

Damnit! If I had known about that, I would have sprung the extra bucks for a stereo dock, in a heartbeat!

Is there any way I could approximate this with a Y splitter or something? I guess a feedback loop pedal would do the trick, eh? I may have to finally invest in on o' them...

A Y-splitter might work, but part of what you are hearing is the feedback from the right channel processed through the left channel, so the resulting sound might be different. Will try this later with a Y-splitter. :idk:

Sorry to tell you now, but I've got some other tricks up my sleeve that require a stereo dock.
Hey, you could always exchange the mono dock for a stereo one. :D
