OLC Pedal Kits

Post by Boxbie »

So a whim I bought an OLC pedal kit (shredmaster :erm: ). Then after parting with my cash I did a quick google, and has horrified by tales of disaster.

Does anyone know a damn thing about these guys?

What tales of disaster are worrying you? I know they offer diddly squat by the way of support, but if that's the problem we'll try and help you here
The only thing I know about them is that the guy who etches their boards does superb work, so as long as you get your package delivered from OLC I would stay hopeful.

Ok, lets see how this plays out.

Paid and emailed them two days ago. Haven't heard anything yet.

Still no response other than the automatic paypal reply.

I'm I being unreasonable to expect any type of response from guys who just took $90 off me? :idk:

Their webpage copyright date is 2010...

I'd be nervous, but if you paid paypal, you got 45 days to file a claim. So maybe give it a couple more days? :idk:

No, i chickened out and put in a paypal claim.

They then got back to me and said it would probably be another week before they could ship, or they would just refund it now.
I wasn't keen on playing the waiting game, so I got a refund.

They did the same thing to me and my friend. We both ordered boards, and got no response back. After waiting three or four weeks I sent them an email. Got a response back saying they were sorry they must have missed the order or something. Got my board in a week. I think my friend had to do a little more gentle prodding than I did but he got his item as well.

They were polite in their responses and everything, and I did get my item. So I can't say anything really bad about them but personally the experience was just sketchy enough to where I might consider ordering another PCB from them, but I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering anything more than that.
