I dunno, there's a worst band thread in General Discussion that puts your argument to the test...

Yeah general is pretty hairy. I only head over if I'm on an ILF bender and have read all the gear posts and the dr sci and fuzzhugger subfora.

Just to clarify something because I feel like these comments are partially being directed at me, this was my original quote:
"I eventually sold the pedal because I didn't like how the reverb sounded with dirt."
That's my opinion and reads as such. I also sold the Empress SuperDelay for the same reason, something many people were confused about. Those two pedals just didn't jive with my rig. I miss them and would have wished they gelled more with my gear, but they didn't.

My board has caught Dr. Scientistitus. It's been spreading from the top left corner where it was contained at first. Because I need Elements with presets.

Haha. If I hadnt just crossed the border for an extended period I would be pretty tempted. I think I need to see how well a frazz would suit my fuzz needs next.

Got my birthday Elements in the mail a week or so ago? I've been a bit busy, but I've finally gotten around to posting about it.
Thank you again Ryan! I was so happy to have an Elements again. My distortion stopped feeling like it lacked a certain something, and starting sounding exactly like what I want my distortion to sound like.
Also, t's definitely the prettiest pedal that I've ever seen.

How do you like the Xtone? And a few words about the Vox? I'm very interested in this amp!

The Xtone is great! It just has a sort of old school good humbucker tone, which is really nice. I have flat wounds 11's on it, and I use it for a lot of finger-picking stuff. It was my first electric guitar, and I sort of rediscovered it after trying several pickups on a Tele (and crazily modding it for a middle pickup and a fiveway switch). It's just a very nice sounding (and playing and looking) guitar.
The amp is nice, particularly for the price and size(though perhaps it feels nicer because of those attributes). It does Vox normal channel a lot better than top-boost jangle in my opinion, probably since there's not tone cut to stop it from getting becoming an "ice pick in the ear." I swapped out the 12Ax7's for 12AT7's, to make it break later earlier. It works, but the change isn't huge, and it still breaks up a fair amount when it's cranked. I also am considering switching out the speaker for a 10" Celestion Gold, which should make it sound even better, but which would also cost as much as the amp, so I'm not too sure.
It's really great for small gigs and open mics, and for practicing at low volumes. I wouldn't want it to be my only amp, though.
I plan to get a Pathfinder 15r to compare, since that might be more appropriate for my uses.
