Re: I finally got my Skreddy Echo ...
Skreddy Echo was my favorite pedal for a while, and was the first pedal that really floored me in a way that convinced me to never let it go.
The noise makes it a little hard to use with other effects because at that point it can easily overpower the articulation of what you're playing, so if you have the time maxed out I recommend reducing the mix a decent amount.
Regarding the effects loop, I have yet to try a pedal in there that doesn't make it automatically oscillate like crazy.

I know dudes have compared the Echobox to the Skrecho. And based on how great my Anmenethsis echo sounds, it's clean with no white noise. Sounds great and lush.

Re: I finally got my Skreddy Echo ...
well that's very helpful!
i've always been checking that one out and waiting to pull the trigger... but i'm all about longer times (mainly about 4/500ms), so probably not that good for me
thanks for the heads-up!

Modulation on the Skrecho is amazing but I needed more delay time (+650ms), so the Way Huge Supa Puss fit much better. Skrecho still does beautiful things in stereo.

Re: I finally got my Skreddy Echo ...
Echolution used price have really come down, I wouldn't spend the $399 new price for one. But if you can grab one on the cheaps, I'd recommend trying one. Long delay time, modulation, and nice clear repeats. I had one, sold it, and bought it again, a year later. I hear a lot of smack talk on the internet about this pedal, but shit is great.
The Deluxe pitch pirate is my favorite delay, but I ain't gonna lie, it has some noise in long repeats. Which, I like.
I mean if you want clear, no noise delay, don't go for analog voiced pedals. I mean it sounds like you want a digital delay. Which the echolution is...
Boss dd-7 is really excellent too. The dd-20 is as well. I like expression controls of the dd-7, lot of options.
As far as putting things in the fx loop of a delay, I liked tremolo and reverb (at the same time).

look into the Subdecay Anmenethsis echo. No noise in the repeats what's so ever. And very lush modulation, and cloudy repeats.hiorgos wrote:Well, I decided to sell it. it didn't last long!![]()
I don't get its noisiness on longer delay times, a $300 delay should be wonderful all around, I want to think?. My beloved Hardwire DL8 sounds great and there's not a hint of weirdness. But also, I don't like much how the mix knob works, reducing your wet signal when you want to crank the repeats volume. I'd rather have a level control.
It's my second Skreddy and the second I decide is a goner the same week it arrived!
ok, what delay is next?

Pt2399 delays and their ilk are only called analogue voiced because of the limitations of the chipset.
Grab a Guyatone mdm5 or whatever their latest thing is called. Top mounted jacks, massive delay time that is as silent at 30ms as it is at 1200 ms, TB, and a tone knob for dirty repeats if needed. I've got it's predecessor, the md3 and it's the bees knees. Wouldn't mind grabbing a subdecay either, the modulation is really nice on that.
