while you are at it ask her to file the switch hole a bit bigger so the jacks aren't forced up at an angle!

Looks to me like the hole for the 3PDT is too close to the holes, I don't think you can straighten the jacks?

if you file the bottom of the switch hole you can move the switch down a bit, even 1mm would help.
tbh i was just kidding around, might be the angle of the photo!

Gotcha!
Dunno why i didn't think of that when I read your post - it makes sense.

But I'm convinced they're crooked.

Hmm, why am I getting hung up on this??
Sorry OP.

Hi Johnny C,

Thanks for the info and the MS-Paint handiwork. I'll see what bits of wire I've got knocking about and give what you say a go.

I've not heard anything back from Devi yet.

Some scrap guitar string would probably work fine as a grounding wire. That's what most my guitars use to ground the bridge or tailpiece...

Well, Devi listened to my soundcloud clip and says it sounds fine and that some of her pedals can be noisy when not in use! I'm not so sure about this with regard to the TP. Better find me some scrap wire and do the above test I reckon.

Surely that noise can't be normal? Has anyone else got this edition of the pedal, or know anyone else who has it, or is it just me? Would be good to compare.

I've owned a regular TP before, and it sure as hell didn't make that noise.

Also having a TP issue :grumpy: Mine isn't like this one, mine's sounds like the signal's overloaded and breaking up constantly, sort of like the crackle on the Fuck at it's most extreme settings. Sounds nothing at all like any of the demos. Weird thing is, if I run my Fuck before it, it seems to level out the signal and it sounds more like what I've heard in demos :idk: Also becomes more normal if I roll the volume back. Pretty frustrating tbh.

Mine's is the TP side of a Shoe Gazer, also a recent model, built by Charlotte. Garbage Pail Kids sticker (which rules).

Charlotte's name is inside my pedal too.

The noise is pretty weird and not right sounding and I've written back to Devi saying so. :(

Hi Scruffie

Thanks for your offer, its much appreciated. I don't think I'm going to get anywhere with Devi and I'm not much cop with fx box innards. I'll PM you.

That sucks, she should've at least offered you to check on the pedal.. Hmm. I guess that's a red flag for me
