Pretty simple question for those that have experience:
Is there a real tonal difference between the cheap green Xicon (50V) caps and, say, the low voltage Panasonic?

Only one way to decide i'm afraid... your ears, buy some, socket them and see if you can hear the difference
Some audiophiles say they can hear difference, I personally can't really hear enough and even if I could... the extra cost isn't worth it to me, i'd rather go for tolerances and how long they're gunna last.

Well, the Panasonic are 5% at most... where the Xicons are 10%. and SmallBear sells 100pc bags that make 'em pretty cheap. Digikey's got 'em cheap-ish too... but still not $0.10 a piece, though...
