Does anyone know what they use on shit like the intro to "Hell on Wheels" or the Eatin' Dust record? That really ripping, gnarly sound. Is that a Super Fuzz or something?

They, for the longest time, used either

So basically, either of those pedals and all their variants will work juuuuuuuust fine. Though, super fuzz definitely brings out the Fu in me.
