Louderthangod, yeah I don't like shorter scale guitars much, either, just because I'm used to the longer strat and tele scale. Are you allowed to talk about guns in California? :p

Absolutely we can talk about guns. Can you talk about evolution in South Carolina? Where's my rimshot? :)
I've spent most of my adult life living in one of the most violent cities in America and I've never once needed to protect myself. I might be lucky or maybe there's more to it. I own a gun and shoot as often as I can but the need to protect oneself is vastly overrated in this country but if someone feels the need to protect themselves then I'm fine with that. Looking for a fight is another thing. Looking for a fight and thinking that a gun is a reasonable defense against a skinny teenager armed with iced tea is another. l

Looks like another winner. This one and the pawn shop mustang from a few years ago have both tempted me, despite my usual preference for longer scale guitars

I had a Pawn Shop Mustang Special and that thing was really badass! BEST Fender HBs I've ever heard, easily, and the switching was so fucking cool with TONS of variety. The short scale threw me though, felt pretty good but took awhile to get used to. That surprised me as I'm so used to my LP Custom but 25.5" scales have been appealing to me more lately.

The guitar just looked and felt so tiny and I'm not a huge guy or anything. Normal Mustangs are small but the Pawn Shop is even smaller cuz it doesn't sport that trem setup and they shrunk the body down further as a result. Finally sold it here when I got a Custom Shop Jazzmaster and couldn't justify both but it was a great little guitar.

I'm totally utilizing that same wiring scheme for my EGC Chessie which should be done soon (I keep hearing). Downloaded it from Fender and sent it on over to Kevin who's gonna custom wind the perfect HBs for that inner coil/HB mode/outer coil switching. Should sound SUPER! :thumb:
