I actually put the old J pickup back in!! Was kind of thinking of getting that EGC pickup back from AA and routing the body for it up at the neck

I had nothing to do, so why not fix up Ol' Fugly?
Defretted that jawn, filled it in, tried to get a nice and smoove epoxy coat but that went horribly wrong twice.
Started to sand it back.
Fuuuuuuck THAT, just paint and poly over it. And here we are.
Also sprayed the guard black, took apart and fixed the mudbucker so that it's actually humbucking now, and slapped on a sticker my aunt made in 1966. And dat old radio knob. Just a volume knob and pickup selector.
...I'm out of money so it gets a crappy acoustic guitar string
Holy Peter Steel Batman that is pimp'n!

Re: Let's see your BASS!
Wheeeeeee, new squier bass vi came last week from GAK.
I've not really played bass before, so I'm maybe not the best equipped reviewer, but so far I like it a lot. build quality seems excellent, feels a little sturdier that the vm jag I got. That's maybe just because it's bigger and heavier though. Sounds really nice to me, but I'm running it through a guitar amp, so again not a fair appraisal of the bass toanz. Finish is really nice, can't find any flaws on it so far. Set up was pretty damn good. I normally try and drop the action on any guitar I get to as low as it goes, but I don'y suppose that's all that necessary on a bass. The D string was buzzing as it was just touching the intonation screw, but dropping that saddle one screw turn completely resolved that. Tuning seems OK(ish). I guess the stringa are new, and it's pretty fuckin hard tuning the bottom E. My snark gets wobbled into oblivion
. Haven't tried intonating yet, as I haven't spent more than an hour or two with it yet, but it certainly doesn't sound a mile off.
So far very pleased. I've wanted a bass of some description for a while. I probably wouldn't have bought a straight up bass as I wouldn't really get the use, but this may act as a bit of a bridge gapper.
Pics

And a rough demo. Sorry about the shit playing.

Relatively New. There is a thread on them here. I want a sunburst version pretty badly. I'm unsure if they've been released in N. America yet.

Hmm, cool! I'll have to keep a lookout. Maybe I can score a righty one on the cheap.

New bass on Friday just gone. 77 with upgraded Bad Ass II bridge. Gonna keep this one in E standard and have the 2001 in C# as it's string through.

Re: Let's see your BASS!
This is my second natural body/maple board Jazz. This one is ash and the younger one is alder. This is the other one for reference, be nice to put an ashtray on that too.
