But foot switches and expression pedals connect wirelessly to the guitar.
I just love how their idea of marketing is making up problems that don't actually exist.
More than six decades into the evolution of the solidbody electric guitar, the LPX—new from Gibson USA—unlocks your full potential as an artist by removing the boundaries between you and your instrument.
Because all the things that make me expressive as a musician are actually limitations. Thanks for clearing that up for me Gibson.
Gladly, the only Gibsons I'll be buying will be from the second hand market.

This might be the dumbest Gibson-idea ever.
So let me get this straight...
Instead of using muscle memory and my feet so I can switch fx while playing and without really thinking about it; I'll have to memorize a bunch of multifunction knobs and switches on the guitar...which cant seamlessly integrate them on-the-fly, like the *limitation-filled* method of doing things it's attempting to replace under the guise of being less cumbersome?
When you think pedals are a "major hassle", shut the fuck up, stop whining and find a way to translate your ideas without them because you're playing the game wrong anyway
Very true. I love pedz as they are but to have your guitar auto tune it self to alternate tunings on a foot switch? Imagine the possiblities. You could set 6 alternate tunings and switch them while playing. Right? I am not against this guitar. Its a neat idea. I imagine gibson sees this as the future and they maybe on the right track. While I can tune my guitar by ear, whats not cool about it tuning it self? Hassle? Not personally. Easier? Oh yesh. Any built in effect on 90% of guitars or amps are useless to me so this is just more of that. Honestly, I could see myself enjoying this whole set up. Verb, delays at different rates and various tunings on the switches, fit some fuzz somwhere in there, looper and the right amp...I can have a hell of a good time. I cant afford it anytime soon but id love to sit down with it and fiddle with it.
