EQD Talons would be excellent for this approach as well.
my amp is a heathkit ta-16 and gets a little dirty when cranked, but it's still solid state and needs a bit more of a boost
that dismember vid is kinda what I want? I'm not gonna drop tune or anything, but I like the chug a chug
those vids were kind of bad at conveying what I want, but I'm horrible at conveying what I want. I've got a sound in my head and I think the hm-2 is an integral part

It's a sign. Cats know toan.
Maybe pick up a Marshall in a box pedal, get a bit of gain on that then hit it with the HM-2. I've read so much shit about what they used to get that tone - going into a peavey rage is one, going into a jcm800 is another. Boss DS-1 is another! All I know is that I did not see any peavey rages when I saw them a few years ago.

That’s quarter-assed at best.
tubescreamer with gain low and level high tightens up the low end if you want a more chuggah chugga sound. hm2 with gain lo into a lightly crunchy base tone (either pedal or amp) is good too...remember when stacking, a little bit of gain into a little bit of gain = shitloads.
ive tried hm2 into FZ-2. its an absolute mess.
on another note...im picking up a peavy studio pro 112...which will be my dedicated hm2 setup. was looking hard for a bandit, but aint paying $$$$ for an old peavey lol
