New Pickup Day: Travis Morris PAF Style HBs

I have never actually owned a guitar that has PAF style pickups in it and, since I build pedals, I figured I should probably have one at least for testing purposes.

So, I contacted a guy who has made me a lot of custom pickups in the past, Travis Morris. Decided on going with a pair of Alnico 4 PAF type pickups with a brushed nickel cover style. Holy crap these things sound good:

Cool! They sound good in those clips, and I always love the brushed metal look.

Yeah, I've never had brushed metal HBs before but I think I may get some more for my maplecaster Those will be different in design, though. Those will be quad coil humbuckers.

Oh and yeah you can make these sound darker too. I have them set fairly far from the strings and my pole pieces are elevated a fair amount on one half. Baby steps single coil self
