Shit I had a dream one of my cats got lost and I never saw him again.

Woke up and he was sleeping on my bed next to me. I gave that dude a huge hug and he just lazily moved farther away so I wouldn't distrub his slumber

Sorry you had to put your dog down, I hate to even think about anyone losing a pet.

Losing pets is the fucking worst. Maybe this makes me a terrible person, but I was way more upset the last time I had a cat die than when my own grandmother passed last week. Although I guess the difference there is that the cat was unexpectedly murdered by a pyscho whereas my grandma died at an advanced age after a long illness.

On a happier note, my fiancee and I have been resisting the urge to get a third cat for a while. Looks like we're caving, expect a cute new kitten in this thread from me within the next week or so.

We're all so gay. If you guys knew me, you'd understand how incredibly attached I am to animals. That girl was spoiled rotten and I can guarantee you she had a great life. She had three dog beds, two leather couches at home, a sectional at the cottage, and she was allowed to sleep in/on the beds (three). I still miss her incredibly and it hurts, but unfortunately it had to be done. My poor girl was sick and I couldn't let her suffer, especially since she didn't really eat for three days.

I could talk about her for days, but I'll just end up crying more and more. To put it simply, everyone loved her. Even people who despised dogs loved her. I know several families who disliked dogs and, after meeting Roxy, ended up getting their own. Families down the street who have never owned an animal bought treats for her every time they went to get groceries. Whenever I took her down to the mailbox, she'd run up their driveway if the garage door was open.

She was fucking amazing. Best dog.

Hopefully the next one is from a rescue and is almost as lovely. Roxy liked all animals and loved kids. You could pester the hell out of her and she would still lick your face.
