I hate limited edition pedals.

Not sure how limited they are but they'll be exclusive to PGS or direct from Malekko. The LTD in the name just denotes the addition of the dwell control. On the Malekko site, the 616D says it will be limited to #100 in the initial run but the SC doesn't say shit about quantity. Who knows...

I think I just assumed it was limited because of the same reason production has ceased three times now already: labour and parts issues. There was the original Spring Chicken, then two batches of limited edition colours specifically for PGS.

Definitely something like that. Maybe they discovered a big batch of the parts in question and can now make a good few hundred Spring Chickens, which wouldn't be considered limited edition in the boutique world.
