NAD: FREE MONKEES ORGAN GRINDR

so just copped and im gonna do a little review since univalve asked a long ass time ago
********first impressions*********
really light
super small and kawaii definitely not boxy sounding
MONSTER low end on this thing super fat solid sound lots of low mids
its 100% got a classic fender deluxe/tweed sound to it
not very bright which i like
tone stack is super interactive
treble acts as a high mid/treble control

takes pedals really well from fuzz to overdrive

just an all around really nice sounding amp reminds me alot of like wilco for some reason

not very loud though to be honest at 18w i think
it hits a point about 12 o clock where you start to get abit of overdrive but in terms of perceived volume not alot more just more drive
i dont play very hot pickups so dimed i got a nice base overdrive before i hit the fuzzzzzz

when dimed the overdrive maintains that fat thick low end and doesn't get brittle which happened when i was using the HWVox
so if this sounds like your deal and can cop for like 9 hundo like i did go for it!!

Man, that Three Monkeys stuff looks super sexy. Congrats!

When you say it's not that loud, you mean it gets loud enough or you wish it had more output? Weird how that works. I've had 15W amps that had very minimal output but 20 watters that kept up with 50W heads, you never know with the low wattage amps.

yeah like im a tad worried that it might not keep up in a rehersal rehearsal micd would be fine
depends on the band though like if you play like some straight up country or indie rock pop stuff you will be fine
if your like a super fuzzed out band you will prob disappear

i had the handwired ac15 and it was way louder but it had a mid point of where it sounded great and above that it started to choke and sound like balls
where as this amp seems to sacrifice a little bit of volume to sound awesome dimed to low vol

that or im getting progressively deaf by the hour

on that note
protip: shipping an amp overseas, usps is the cheapest but you will need to fill out an Commercial Invoice (PS FORM 6182), do not fuck that up or you might lose out on a kaboodle of cash and time.
