feedback loopers, school me?

JHS makes one that looks nice but its discontinued. How many of you guys use em and how?

I have had the saturnworks one, and one made by eatyourguitar
they are both awesome
allows your pedals to be there own instruments, flipping awesome!!!

tons of fun to use, it's pretty sweet, because it brings new sounds out of alot of your pedals. Some keys to using in my mind are
1. Delay is always good
2. Embrace buffers, sometimes a buffered pedal into a modulation is enough to create complete anarchy.
3. Feedback loops are cheap don't buy one from a JHS DBA, there are no circuits and there are simple to build, there will be no tonal difference between a 30buck one and a 150buck one

It takes your signal and runs it through whatever is in the loop twice, they are nice...

Here's a video I did with the Basic Audio tourbox using the pedals in a feedback loop with out any input/instrument.
It's not exactly the same but I think it gives a good idea of what is possible especially when using a crazier fuzz like
the Fuzz Factory and adding in the delay.

Never tried any of it but the McSpunckle Samurai Switch seems cool to me, as does the Ohnono Utter Stutter.

Those Saturn Works feedback loops look pretty sweet. And that is what I would get if I needed another feedback/true bypass loop.

Gotta get dem Utter Stutter toans.
If you can solder, you can make a basic feedback looper for mighty cheap. It doesn't need to be powered.

You can find cheap DIY kits out there also.

Pitch shifters in a feedback loops is the craziest shit and an EQ pedal is almost a must if you're going to be tweaking the pedals in the loop.
Delays are good, some dirt pedals are good, some modulation is cool, too.

the best EQ pedal I have used in the loop is the dano fish n chips EQ

Ibanez DL10 is awesome (most delays are)
Boss PH3 into wolf computer is awesome
Boss SD-2 was surprisingly sick

But they're easy to make and pretty simple.

Maybe it depends on the delay, but the way I use it is kinda like an "expansion". If ya set the feedbacky pot low and engage the looper, the delay's repeats will be increased. This means you can also set the looper's pot to max and use it as an instant oscillation switch.
This is when I first got an Utter Stutter, I'm proud to have gotten it all in one take :lol:

I've got a Truly Beautiful Disaster. One of the first things I do whenever I get a new pedal is see what kind of insanity I can get when I run it through the feedback loop. I almost wish some of the big demo makers would make putting pedals through a feedback loop a standard part of their videos.
