A 2x12 cab needs new speakers for stoner riffs

If the head you are using is a typical 100 watt that expects an 8 ohm load from the cabinet, you will want to get the two 16 ohm speakers and wire them in para so that it creates that 8 ohm load. For a 2x12 that is typically what I do. Some bass amps are geared for a 4 ohm load in which case you would want two 8 ohm speakers, Generally with a tube amps its ok to go up or down one without damaging the head, another reason to wire it fo 8 ohms, its right in the middle of your options, I would not want to hook up a 16 ohm load to a head that wants a 4 ohm, or vise versa. Look on the back of the amp and it should be marked as to what the output should be, Amps with two outputs are wired either in series or in parallel and will show two different ohms numbers. So if its 8ohm/16ohm you would want only 8 ohm cabs, hooking up the second makes the total load 16. I might be saying all this wrong so its a good idea to check on the head YOU have and do your homework as far as what is best for it.

My head can work eighter with 16 or 8 or 4 ohm, it's a 50watt, usually I run with 8ohm cab... but do different wire options mean different dynamics and cab's response ?

And last... are 2 swamp thang too much for a 50 watt head ? I can't use them at high volume, I need a good responce even at normal volume on terms of lows definition .

I really couldnt comment as the wattage of my head is so high.....thangs tend to stay clean though...... at about two on the clean dial with the lows at 5 hitting an open E will knock shit off the shelf if im not careful. So plenty of lows there. If youve got a fuzz on id imagine theyd work them lows at any volume. I can do a low vol demo clean and with some fuzz if youd like.
