whats your favorite subtle to insane Flanger for under 200?

Post by The Wood Wizard »

I feel like its time to flange it up... Im looking for something that can do the subtle flange all the way up to crazy swooshing fighter jet noises. 200 buck limit About.

Looked at the MXR flange the EVH flange and the gilbert airplane flange , which is rad (takeof switch) but its kinda huge and would like to hear other options.

Ibanez FL99, if you can find it. :)
Electro Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress and Flanger Hoax are cool too or maybe you can find a Homebrew Electronics Frostbite for a decent price somewhere.
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee

In the DIY world, the BYOC flanger is very good!

Guyatone FL-3 is good, flexible, small, and cheap used. The three-way mode switch will get you from very subtle to very extreme.

All of the above, but I wouldn't say it gets bat shit crazy. Fave flanger though.

I agree

If you really want to get weird just pick up a BF-2 and a feedback looper. I'm sure you could grab both for under $100

+ 1
BF-2 is my favourite flanger.

Also, the HF-2 isn't quite as versatile but sounds incredible too. Its CRAZY in a feedback loop.
