The first band EP! Prog rock/Jazz/funk influences

Post by DarkAxel »

http://samanovozbozi.bandcamp.com/ check it :)

although we sing in Czech, you might enjoy it... there are the essential older songs, we decided to map the first "stage" of our existence...

if anyone cares, the main pedals used were a Fuck, Rat, INFANEM Faye Sing, 4ms Tremulus Lune and Wampler Faux Tape Echo... the other guitarist used a Fuzz Face and a Marshall Echo Head delay

feel free to share etc, you know the drill :)

Hey, thanks for purchasing!! :)

Oh yeah, it's cool :) there's more to it, but that's what the owners of a physical copy can enjoy... Our friend painted it and it makes me so proud...

it's an EP so I don't want to ship physical copies worldwide, the shipping price makes the deal sour

dope!

i like when ppl sing in different languages. its makes it more of an instrument to me cuz i don't understand any of the words.
i have a handful of czech psych/prog vinyls from the 70s. they are really dope.

Ha, that's sweet! :) Got some "Progres 2"?

Some people say we sound a bit like them... I don't listen to them much, but what I heard, i liked

SOME people also say we sometimes sound like older Crimson... but that's probably the story with some other songs, not included on this EP :)

Sounds cool!
The last song is my favourite I guess, especially that intro is great. :)
Awesome bass player by the way, you all know what to do with your instruments for sure. :)
Nice cover art as well.

Aha, new directions in music, sounds good to me. :)
I see (heard) what you mean, great sound too, with his sound and timing he really seems to be the backbone of the band that's why it stood out for me.
One thing though:
Ya'll Needz Moar Crazy Fuzz!!! lololol

Yeah, well...

it was recorded with a Rat and the other guitarist started using the full wet octave down before the fuzz right after that :D but generally, you're right, I'm sorry to say, but even though on the inside i'm kind of a mad sound scientist, it doesn't translate well to the outside and I'm just too normal most of the time :(

it pisses me off, i have too much moderation

What I said was kinda tongue in cheek, I wouldn't worry about it too much man, sometimes the music doesn't call for it or it just doesn't feel right and don't get me started on recording and getting the actual sound on tape, often you find the coolest sound and in the mix it just disappears. ;)
Looking from that video you posted last time I'd say that mad sound scientist is definitely in you and it seems there's more room for experiments in the newer stuff that you guys do. :)

Next Friday, we're playing our first festival show ever! And it's a pretty big regional festival with huge bands and we're closing the main stage on the first day after some pretty huge bands (we're playing right after my favourite modern Czech band :) )

btw guys feel free to share our music :) spread the love
