I'm pretty set with my cover band classic/90's rock board so now I want to put together a post-punk rig and start an originals band. I've pretty much got everything but a few steps. Right now I have a...
Fender BT Jazzmaster (w/hotrod pickups) > ProCo Rat Reissue > Velcroar > Tokai TFL-1 Flanger > Fender 75 (w/MXR 10 band EQ in the effects loop).
I'm not 100% on the order, specifically the Rat and the Velcroar and I really want to put a delay after the flanger. I need suggestions though...I used to have an Ibanez DE7 and really liked it. If you can't tell, I kind of like things simple but solid. One pedal, one use. I'm interested in the Ibanez ES2 and wouldn't want to spend more than that ($150) considering I'll need to spend some cash for repairs on the Amp to begin with.
So any suggestions for cool sounds and ideas? What would you do in my shoes?
EDIT: Also (and I know the ES2 disregards this, but a small footprint would be cool).

You can always hunt for a used DE-7. Maybe it's me but I'm not seeing them so much anymore, maybe because people like them so much.
Assuming what you're liking is analog-sounding delays with modulation: For $150, you're into the various Malekko 616 flavors. Stretch a tiny bit futher and the Way Huge Echo Pus might be worth a look.

lol, I'm starting to think that's actually pretty solid once I get my in-amp spring reverb working. Friday I'll take the amp into the shop and hopfully get everything up to snuff before I jam with anybody on any new bands.

Memory toy's pretty fun. I had the damnedest time with the mix knob though. Could never get it to quite balance right. It always seemed like the volume of the repeats would only get to a certain point and then the dry signal would start cutting out. I could not jive with that. At. All.
Seriously look into one of the malekko flavors, they're pretty sweet delays. Is this project one you're doing by yourself or with other people? If you're going to be playing as part of a band, then I'd suggest the regular 616 or 616lofi. I think the 616 is voiced better for guitar in a mix. If it's going to be you alone, then check out the 616D. If it's as similar to the 600D as I'm hoping it'll probably disappear in a band setting.
You do have the basics already if you can get your spring reverb working. You definitely need something to add some ambience from time to time in post-punk.

I mean I get it, but c'mon.
I think the flanger should come before the distortion pedals, unless you want the jet plane swoosh of the Furs or Gary Numan, even. I find that the rat is good either before or after fuzz, just depends if you want to blur the edges of the distortion or tighten up the fuzz.
You should throw some sort of chorus in there too, chorus and flanger on together make for some badass clean tones.
Yeah, I'm not sure this is going to be exclusively post-punk. I'm moving into Milwaukee and already have some connections that I could team up with for a band. The city just seems to be, if you're a rock band, either doom metal (fun, but I'd need a totally different rig), or jangly post-punk.
I was thinking today that I might just forgo the delay* and opt for a second amp head to go with my 1x12 I've been using as an extention to the Fender 75. I want to find something that is dirtier, more like an Orange, but not at an orange price.
So any recommendations for that sort of head?
*I've owned two delays in my time a DE-7 and a Memory Boy. I loved the DE-7, but I could never get the Memory Boy in quite a useable sound. SOOO, maybe I'll still to trying to find the ES2 and try for the second amp. Priority is fixing the Fender of course.
EDIT: How is the Orange Micro Terror, worth the cheapo price, or complete shit. For the record, I don't want to spend more than $150 on an amp head, but I am totally open to used gear.

when i think of postpunk guitar, i think of Andy Gill (Gang of Four), and Keith Levene (PiL). Both of them had a pretty damn dry tone. flanger once in while. that's about it.
