Yeah me too. I think looping something and going outside to check, and just talking to the neighbours (maybe they're really chill about noise!) are probably good ideas.

I have a similar problem, with all hardwood and tile floors and a contemporary house that's largely open.
And no, it's not just because I use 60 watt ampegs at home  External master volumes have worked well with these but affects the tone a bit.
The looping idea works wonders for telling you how loud you actually are...I can step outside the mancave, shut the door, and take a walk around the house or outside to see where the volume goes.
Anyone ever try that isolating platform by auralex?
Special low-frequency version.

i have all of my gear in the basement. the last time we had band practice here there was no bassist present but the redbear was still rattling things off of the walls in the upstairs. someday i'd like to re-finish the basement with some sound proofing stuff. it's just not in the budget right now.

It seems like with hard surfaces, it's not too loud but that it feels like it carries all over the townz. At least to me

fuzz does sound louder in the room than a clean sound because it fills up the whole sound spectrum, but maybe doesnt penetrate the walls any more than the clean sound.
try talking and shouting over the playing and see how the sound level is, you may find it's far quieter than your shouting level.

i close the windows tight and make sure that its turned down extra after 10-30ish

You will all LOL so hard.

I just found out the problem!!!

My foot switch was not plug correctly.
The footswitch has 2 jacks one is mono the other is stereo... I think the mono is for the trem and the stereo for the chanel switcher (A, B, A+B).

With the jack wrongly connected it was in mode A+B which is channel A boosted by channel B and each channel has it's own reverb.

It's louder here... but hey!
