You ever buy a pedal on eBay, not as described but its ftw

Post by fishtankdork »

About 2 months ago I bought a 'beat up' fox rox cc2 for 450 that came and was fucking mint. Last night I just got a mid-fi clari not fuzz version, that was listed as a normal one. After getting over my initial feelings of crappiness cause I wanted the clean one and I will have to buy that too, god damn this fuzz one sounds like fucking amazing. And I never would have bought it before! Glad that happened hahaha

FWIW I think the fuzz version sounds much better than the clean version anyway.

When I has the fuzzy clarinot, I disengaged the vibrato and delay and it used it as a straight fuzz... because the fuzz circuit is THAT GOOD.

I agree the fuzz curcuit is amazing. I'm kinda of glad because now I'm checking out mid-fi's other fuzz's and I never would have. I was running my zendrive wood box se into the fuzz clari not and it was just such an amazing tone

This. :thumb:

Also, it was probably listed as a "normal" Clari(not) cuz the fuzz version was the first and only one for a good long while.

Honestly if you roll back your volume knob with the fuzzy clari(not) it sounds exactly the same as a clean clari(not). Might as well just use the fuzzy one.

The fuzz hides all the noise present in the clean version too. I never realized how noisy that pedal could be until trying the "clean" one.
