Devi or EHX i'd say, Marshall effects aren't bad for the price sometimes either.

Yeah Devi Ever or EHX, both known for their quirky coolness... I think Devi makes better sounding fuzzes then any of the "new" EHX stuff. Also EXH copied Devi's look on all the new stuff

Aww you can't blame them, they just wanted to try and be as cool... but no there fuzzes don't have the best reputation.

:grumpy: and they should! they invented the fucking Big Muff Pi :picard:

Considering the widespread appeal of their BBM I had high hopes :grumpy: but I was really disappointed on the sound and workings of the pedal. Don't get me wrong it is good for a cheap fuzz box and bass friendly but when you by a Big Muff from EHX....... :grumpy: About all I really find it good for is low gain fur type sounds which it excels at but...... as for what I need a Big Muff for...... :grumpy:

I liked the little big muff pi when I first got it but it's not the kind of fuzz I want......
even with an eq I can't dial in a nice beefy low end the doesn't sound like a muddy mess......

There big muffs constantly go through design change and no 2 big muffs are the same, chances are there's another one out there that is for you, personally I preferred the Violet Rams head incarnation which had a more scooped mids sound to it and a bit more gain on tap, don't give up on them yet.

Oh I haven't, I just ordered a Katana Sound Thundercloud so I have high hopes [again. Being as their Supper Bass Fuzz is about my favorite fuzz of all time I thought to give their "muffiant" a spin

EHX has to be near the top of the list. The Memory Boy/Toy pedals are sick cheap for analog delay, the Stereo Electric Mistress, Pulsar and Clone Theory are bargains, the muffs are classics (I really want a Tone Wicker)

And yeah, Devi and Fuzzhugger are great deals as well.

Production stuff
Moen pedals are very cheap, sound really good and are very well made.
Down side they are big and positive ground. The Ulite series are more pedal board friendly.
Haven’t tried Biyang’s pedals yet, but the price is right for real tube overdrives and analog delays. The sound clips are good.

Wouldn't buy any of their crap on both principle and on quality.
Biyang ripped off a Canadian "builder" (Righteous Tones (he's some kind of evangelical, hence the "righteous" part); designer really, he offshored production to China and it didn't take too long before these things started showing up -- the people he contracted to build his stuff just slapped a new name on it) and drove him out of business. They were kinda low-budget crap to start with (sorry, I bought an RT overdrive before I knew about the MIC connection and hated it -- he seemed like a decent enough guy though). That analog delay is digital BTW... :picard:
Good deals done with all these guys

Devi and Fuzzhugger!!!!!
EHX is good but be careful they're kind of a hit-and-miss type company.
