What apps a everyone using?

I use:
Multitrack as a DAW
DM1 for my drum machine and beat making needs
Samplr for making loops and glitchy stuff

GarageBand to use their amp models and shit with my guitar and headphones
Audiobus to combine everything together
I have filtatron but never really use it

oh wow,
so many

but let's talk real time effects processing like for guitar or synth
A-Delay - straight up soft delay with some extra features
AudioEffects - usual pedal-type effects
Filtratron - real time effect envelope, vco, vfo
AudioFilter - an interesting suite of effects
EchoPad...
Samvada
MidiGuitar
...or something...

I use Meteor for DAW.
Sample for producing sampling tunes.
Dm1 for drums for everything... except...
Tabletop for making booty shakin or video game music.

I havent even looked into using effects.... shiiiit. Gonna have to check out that list.

For drums I really like TableDrums which lets you drum on objects and assign those sounds to r
drum samples and then you drum on your junk and it comes out as your samples through your monitor. Pretty cool I think.

I also like midi controllers like
Lemur - different midi surfaces
SW Midi - Sound wand - neat
Shake Midi - move IOS object in three directions
Midi Studio - various control surfaces
...or something...

ipad 2
twisted wave-with the tascam im2 recording jams ipad/ipod
filtertron-got it free to mess around
hardwire polyphonic tuner- to tune the acoustic
photoshop touch- to make stickers
ipod
twisted wave
dm1
sampl- about as simple a saple pad you could ask for

twisted wave is awesome
and easy to use for a novice like me
it records in mono or stereo
but does not multitrack...yet(fingers crossed)
my guess is when i actually start recording tracks
im going to have to buy multitrack or similar
it really is easy to figure out
sending to itunes,soundcloud,or dropbox
is a one click operation
cant say enough good stuff about it
but ive only tried garageband
which i hated
and audacity light on the laptop
whicch i couldnt figure out

Have you checked out Beatsurfing? That one is pretty sweet!

Apps I use:

Animoog - great experimental synth
Beatsurfing - make your own custom MIDI controllers
Samplr - just get it
GlitchBreaks - easy app for glitching out drums and stuff
Audiobus - it's the glue
Orphion - hybrid percussion/synth sort of
iPulsaret - grain synth
Chordion - play chords and melodies together
NodeBeat HD - awesome ambient instrument
BitWiz - not for the faint of heart
WerkBench - a different approach to a sequencer
Borderlands - another type of grain instrument - highly recommend but needs work
TC-11 - kick ass synth (haven't bought yet but will soon)

I'll have to check that out. So many synths, so little time.
