I forgot i had a BD-2 and just put in front of my AC30, turns out it's a damn good clean boost with some sweeeet coloration. I have the master volume on the amp quite high so i can get a clean tone from the normal channel so overdrive/fuzz/distortion is needed.
What stacks really, really well with a BD-2? The fuzz's i have are too harsh through it (silicon fuzz face and basic audio pale rider) and the arc effects Gamut is just to meh (probably due to the channel volume not being dimed...)
I was looking into a RAT type pedal or another overdrive/fuzz that will get me a smooth controllable tone...that can also be pretty in your face-ish

Re: BD-2 Stacking
Another BD-2? Actually, I think Adam Franklin would do that for some of his solo gigs, to get a really saturated sound.
It's been awhile since I had a BD-2. I remember liking it all right with a muff style fuzz stacked into it and I know others do the same sort of thing.
These days I do have a Digitech Screamin' Blues pedal (which is essentially a BD-2 from what I understand) and it sounds pretty good going into a Danelectro Daddy O (like a Marshall Guv'nor) and can sound pretty good with a Crowther Hot Cake running into it.

Re: BD-2 Stacking
I don't have much experience with AC30, but I've never liked them.
Maybe you should be looking for a different amp? idk

Re: BD-2 Stacking
Another bd-2 might pretty cool actually, i'll try and snag a used one. I've been told to try a RAT through it too. I mean they sound pretty great with ac30s anyway
