Sounds cool, echo.
I had a buddy up in RI that did an entire album on his iPhone...
Excited to hear everything when you're finished!

feels like its been done before, but all i can think of is that "Gorillaz" album Damon Albarn did all on the iPad. i say go for it. 5 years from now i bet theres gonna be loads of purposefully digital-bubbles-y tracks out there.

Nice! I dig it a lot.

I wonder if there's any EQing that you could do in Ableton, not to make it sound "hi-fi-er" or anything, but to cut any ear fatiguing frequencies.

But no matter what, I likes it a whole bunch, and would definitely want to hear more.

You could try rolling off from about 5000 and up a little, not too much, notching a bit at 1000 and 2000 (or thereabouts, if it interferes with the guitar) and then running an harmonic eq like this one:
http://www.voxengo.com/product/overtonegeq/
I don't have any specific tips on that, just play around with it.

The concept is a lot cooler if you manage to make it all on your phone, though.

How about we all pool together and get echo a mic accessory for his phone? Nothing crazy, just something that brings the quality up a notch?
This one: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigmiccast/
30€,
I pledge 5€.
No excuses! I am so very poor right now, so you all should be able to spit in at least a couple of €'s

No no no haha that's a nice gesture, but I think I'm fine with the built in mic. No need to get me anything.

There are things I can do to make the recording less fatiguing also, like record in a room that's a little more acoustically dead than my kitchen.

Either way, if you guys like the track enough, it's download able for free on the bandcamp page.

Sounds good to me! Both the sound and the song. I think that kind of recording is really conducive to that style of music, anyway.
