Devi BIT too gated for single coils?
See thread title. Reason I ask is I went to a music store and sat down with a mastotron and an ESP strat copy, and I could barely get anything on the high E string to sound. Even on the non gated settings. Maybe the pups were really weak, or the pedal was an anomaly.
So, thought I'd ask about the BIT also as I am interested in that pedal.

The Mastotron is not a gated pedal, what you experienced is called "piece of shit ESP strat copy"

There's some gated settings in it, though, yeah? I'll have to revisit the mastotron now.-

I dunno, it gets kinda weird if you fuck with the pulse width but I tried it out with a Jaguar and it was buzzing away as single coils are wont to do.

I had a Bit way back when and didn't have any trouble with single coils. Did you try humbuckers?

I tried the newer version, it will crap out with low output strat style single coils but not if you turn the gain way up, it was my favourite pedal of the Devi Ever bunch.

I don't really have any problems with the 33 on my Strat.
The older gated version of the GZ didn't work much though.
