Thats gorgeous! How are you liking the alumitone? I have the deathbuckers in a couple of guitars and love em, also the P and J bass ones, are they just good across the whole line?

The alumitone is awesome. Super clear and defined for each string. This one is a little bright so I' m glad i put it at the neck, since I put no tone control. Very quiet as well even in non single mode, and this harness isn't even insulated. When clean I get a real acoustic like tone. My x bar also sounds great with fuzz.... Definitely my favourite pickup at the moment.

Thanks for the kind comments!
very much appreciated
If anyone has some tuning ideas, hit me with them. I gotta get some heftier gauge strings.

seems like a C6+9 tuning would be an idea, something like C E G A c d e g. or you vould try adapting E9 pedal steel tuning, B D E G# b e c# f#. the more passing tones you can get from one bar position, the better.

Re: Eight string lapper
Oh yeah E9, great idea.
It' s set up with open d with an extra e and f#, but I want to try some less familiar territory. I want to play in something other than major keys without stretching slants. E9. Interesting....
