What effects/circuits are you tired of?

I am tired of effects with knobs on. Where are all of the sliders these days?

Honestly this is like 80% of why I want the Ibanez ES2.

Muffs, generic overdrives and basically everything really generic

but also... builders hardly tapping into envelope controlled stuff...I mean Wampler FTE has a modulation controlled via the strength of your picking... why are not there more envelope controlled stuff? I want envelope controlled vibrato/pitch shifter, I want envelope controlled flanger AND i want those things and an envelope filter with controllable attack time

I simply have some sounds in my head I can't find in a pedal... and please don'T quote me posting some fucking pixiedust obscure builder who built two envelope controlled everythings and used his blood to mix it with the lacquer and then disappeared forever

i don't know, kind of a train of thoughts rant... but... yeah

Well the Source Audio Orbital Modulator can do the envelope mod thing and that's hardly pixie dust. Envelope controlled pitch shifting is a cool idea in fact why doesn't the POG2 have that? They already have the envelope, they just have to apply it to the effect instead of the whole signal.

I'm tired of pedals with less than four knobs. More knobs = more control = more sounds = less generic. I'd rather pay more for pedals with more knobs than pay less for ones that feel like they're missing something.

There are like only 3 different flangers in the whole world. I want MOAR.

I still haven't found the right phaser for me so that means everybody better keep working hard on their phasers.

And I want to see more filters. Everywhere! And not just envelope filters, those are lame (not really but not for me ). Greyscales new wah filter-y thing he posted a couple weeks ago looks so freaking awesome. THATS WHAT IM TALKIN BOUT. Cool things like that!

things i'm sick of:

oscillating fuzz.
delay with modulation or additional processing on the repeats...i've got processors for that.
compressors without enough controls to really make them useable. attack and release, PLEASE.
modulation using chip-generated whole-tone arpeggios as "magic" fairy dust. stop with the unicorn-crapping-rainbows sound already.
600ms analog delays that go for $350.
and fucking shimmer reverb must die. NOW.

Currently have a Harmonic Percolator on my guitar board.
Sliders make it look as bad ass as it really is.

And the (Audrey) Fromel Shape EQ is derived from the Ibanez PQ-9; but (sadly) lacks the sliders of the original:

I love a wide array of muff and FF variants but I can't imagine them getting much better. Probably get a custom BAT IC muff soon as I don't have an IC option currently but I'll be done after that.

The Tube Screamer is def overdone and underwhelming in my experience. That's probably the only circuit I actively avoid.

Check out the ModFactor then,I do believe Envelope is an option for all of it's modulation.
