good deals with Noise. . .guitmatt, magiclawnchair, delaydecay, Fuzz_Pi, nixhex113, theAntihero, Ancient Astronaught, bigchiefbc, jwojtysiak, neonblack, osbornkt
I'd probably have to sell my Peavey VB-2, Echo Shifter, Burial Chamber and Elements to afford it...... But then i could just run the Dunwich cleanboost, Skyhammer, Timeline, and Space for a pedalboard and be perfectly content (not too shabby for a four pedal pedalboard )
Not bidding yet but I'm considering it.... If I did win it I'd have it dropped off at Ben's (since it's all ready in Seattle) and have a post preamp FX loop put in....

I think 45W output is a bit overstated in SE Class A with 2 6550s in parallel but I could be wrong. Most of the time 15W per tube so 30W clean power. Depends of course, that could be 45W with a lot of THD and no longer clean power. Loudness is another thing of course. the 5-8W Class A EL34 amp I have is loud through some 4x12s.

I'm not so worried with actual wattage, as long as it can reach stage volume cleanly I'd be happy, we have a very good soundguy who will make sure I can hear myself. When playing out I never have turned the Peavey up past 2, it's just too loud. Our lead guitarist uses a 40w combo w/ a 2x12 extension cab and it works out great for him. So i feel 45w would be enough for playing 90% of the gigs we play, and if I need more power for a really big gig I have it ready waiting to go.

well B is not something ull be running in any tube amp for guitar. A is free from crossover distortion in the output stage, which is generally considered non-musical. Crossover distortion sounds like a Zvex Machine pedal, its not very smooth distortion. AB suffers from some level of crossover at the exchange for increased efficiency and much more power. honestly, if you were blinded the difference is small in a decently biased AB amp.
Gotcha! I hit up Ben about the amp, apparently it has two built in boosts, one for the preamp for a natural OD tone, and one for the power amp (which i'm guessing is some sort of PI boost) which induces power amp distortion at tolerable stage volumes. He said throwing an FX loop in there for me would be no problem either, and priced decently.
The GAS is strong with this one.
