HAO Rust Driver

Post by Blurillaz »

Do any folks 'round here parts own one of these monstrosities? Just one volume knob- and on newer models, an EQ switching between dark and bright. Supposedly, the alleged Rust Driver is a Marshall Plexi in a can. :idk: The name reminds me of Neil Young~ most likely because of Rust Never Sleeps. :p

AGH, I kept seeing it at the local place back in CA. Never tried it though.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

i own the HAO Rumble Mod...which is "suppose" to be a Dumble in a can. being that i've never played a Dumble amp, i can't say if it's true.
however it's a very fine overdrive which sorta gives class A amp qualities to my old jcm 800. i've never tried it through any of my other amps so i don't know how it behaves there.
the Rust Driver always brought to mind Rust Never Sleeps to me as well.

I have a HAO Rumble MOD and the older ODS; both great overdrives.
Just sold my Rust Driver as I never really used it -- it was good, real Marshall crunch kind of a pedal, just not really my thing.
Always kinda reminded me of Angus Young.
Good deals done with all these guys

I haven't got my hands a Rust driver but I have a Rumble Mod, Rust Ride, Rust Boost, and 4 The Roars [#s 02,45,47 and 100] I think HAO makes some stellar pedals, their builds are killer. I don't now about the RD but the RR came do the Lemmy, John Entwistle and Jack Bruce types of bass sounds very well, and with no gain control at that. The only down side it it's low loss if you don't use the dry out as well and effect of a blend box. I use it for recording all the time.
