Guitar search attempt #2

Post by THEBEERHAMMER »

Ok so I have until october when financial aid checks come in to find something i really like these are my specs:

under $3k
Preferrably new/custom/from a reputable dealer
Doublecut semihollow
THIN NECK
Really want an ebony board...
25 inch scale

Thats about it. The semihollow with a thin neck is going to be hard to find outside of a gretsch...and honestly its probably going to end up being a gretsch...Ive always wanted a lucille but the necks on those are almost as thick as they get. Id really like something nice, ill probably see what the prices are like on those bilt star casters.....

Schecter Corsair fits nearly everything on your bill (the scale length is 24.75", close enough to 25"). I know the Schecter name doesn't really mean much round these parts but I have one and it's amazing. I would upgrade the bridge pickup, but the everything else on the guitar is rock solid.

I know this may sound like a sales pitch since I have mine in b/s/t, but I've been recommending this guitar on here since I got it. It's beautiful.

Heritage 535/prospect/millenium dc hits all the marks except the 25" scale. They do custom neck profiles, so I imagine you could get it thin enough

Also don't forget the Hagstrom Viking if you want semi-hollow:
