LOVE my Hoof. They are typically a little less fuzzy than a russian muff, there's more clarity. Seriously awesome pedals, especially if you get one with the right transistors in it...I had both a 4 knob and a 3 knob for a long time, and although the 4 knob allowed for the selectable midrange, my earlier 3 knob just has far better balls and bite....guess which one I kept

Yeah, I'm not a fan of my 4-knob Hoof once I go comparing it to the rest. My old 3-knob sounded way better. Def a case of less is more with my setup.

Pharaoh, Supercollider/Beast, and Blunderbuss is all the muff variety I need now days. :thumb:

Thanks for all of the Hoof info dudes. Those three-knobbers with the rounded edged enclosures always speak to me when they turn up in the B/S/T...

That is indeed a trio that could conceivably cover all your muff needs...and definitely the three of mine that get the most use.

Kosta, there was a 3 knob Hoof up on TGP yesterday, although it was the 125B size enclosure and not the big box. Didn't list what trannies they are but almost definitely the preferred variety...Devnulljp would be the man to talk to about desirable Hoof versions, but I haven't see him around these parts in a long time :idk: You might find a thread from him on the subject here somewhere.
Special low-frequency version.

Just grabbed a Pig Mine to whet my appetite. Should give me an idea of where to go next in Muff Land.
