Arc Effects, Wren and Cuff, or something else like a Hoof or a Musket?

All... The Arc seems to always be floating around in BST and the Hoof and Musket can be had for cheapzzz... I got a custom from a builder here and it rulezzz so maybe check the Shark Tank, Arcane Analog is about to do a Muff...

I've played a lot of variations of the Tall Font variety. The Wren and Cuff gets VERY close to my original Tall Font, just not quite as loud. The ARC Big Green is also highly recommended. I let ARC Aaron borrow my Tall Font so he could read all the cap and resistor values to get it as close as possible. Plus the internal switches give it a ton of extra flexibility

using how often people sell them in b/s/t as a metric, the W&C would seem to be most loved...they almost never turn up used here, and rarely on eBay.

Muff never sound right to me.
To metallic or something.

I'd love to see a link to these! Can you point me in the right direction?

I've owned an original Tall Font and TFR and currently own an Arc and ECT. The ECT is my favourite muff design but probably isn't a pure design. The Arc is awesome too. The TFR is darker sounding and the lower tuning seems better on bass. I just prefer the ECT for its versatility and ability to melt faces.

MojoHand Colossus is my current fav muff. They say its civil war inspired, but its versitile and to me captures the sovtek essence (which many dont), but with all mod cons.
Of course the real thing is great too (if unreliable!)

Yesterday I got my hands on a Sovtek (Tall Font) Muff to compare with my Stomp Under Foot Green Russian classic edition.

I'm going to hang onto both for a while, but my first day impression, if i were to put a number on it...
the SUF gets you a solid 95% there with most usable (for me) settings...maybe even 98 at times.

Not sure how much of the margin goes to component drift and the inconsistency in manufacturing from the plant...but so far I generally prefer the original.

At least with guitar, which is the extent of my testing.
But within the guitar rig, I can switch between the 2, individually or together for extra insanity.
Will try with bass rig later today.
