Broken Volume Knob on GV-2...

This was the first pedal I ever bought, decent dirt pedal. My sister took it to school and her idiot friend somehow broke off the volume knob... It's probably a simle fix, but where do I begin?

Only the knob, or broke the whole volume shaft? Was it show and tell day at school? Idiot friends always break the cool stuff you'd bring to show and tell...
It's an easy fix. If you're comfortable taking it on yourself and halfway decent with a soldering iron. If the volume pot isn't board mounted (I can't remember what the guts of a GV-2 are like), just unsolder the wires going to the lugs on the pot, replace it with a pot of the same value, and solder them back on the correct lugs. Easy peasy!

I don't think there's anything wrong with the pot, just nothing to turn. The kid droke the freaking shaft. It was some stupid project she had to do for English (Gilgamesh or something). I was going through a pacifistic phase, otherwise I would have gone apeshit on him.

hahahaha! I think one of her friends butchered "Rock You Like a Hurricane" *facepalm* as part of the project so she stole my pignose and GV-2. I'll take it in and see what they can do. Unfortunately I'm currently broke...
