2. It was obviously posted expecting a shitstorm of people criticizing it. This is not the first time Rose has thrown out some troll-bait to HCFX.

Perhaps you misunderstand what I meant here. HCFX is full of a bunch of cork-sniffing elitist close-minding fucking assholes. I guess I should have worded it as "Posting a thread that you know will elicit a certain response, which will then allow you to call them on their bullshit.

3. Regardless of the truth or falsehood of anything you said, busting that hard on the playing of a well-liked regular of this forum is kinda fucked up. I haven't loved every single song posted in the Music forum, but I don't go in there and slay into them for having the audacitiy to post a song I don't like.

Actually, I didn't "bust hard" on anybody, let alone the troll-baiter. I said his playing sucks. It does. He has even admitted as much on this forum:

Your treatment of my response with a total red herring about stuff in the Music forum is somewhat unbelievable. I certainly didn't "slay" anybody for music that I didn't like. I said that while the fuzz may be alright, the guitar playing took away from whatever it was he was trying to show - which we now know to be a complete BS post just to elicit "mean" responses. It's not that I didn't like his "tone," it's just that his guitar playing left/leaves much to be desired. Plus, nobody here posts stuff (that I'm aware of anyway) just to elicit some type of hate response out of the readers.

You completely missed my point. We are usually pretty civil over here, unlike that fucking hate dungeon over there. Whether it be a song they post in the Music forum, or a pedal/tone demo in one of the other forums, telling someone over here that their playing sucks in not constructive. It was not semantics. You should be able to separate your opinion of a player's technique from your opinion on the tone they are getting out of their guitar/amp/pedals, and evaluate them individually. One has nothing to do with the other when it comes to simply demoing a pedal or a certain sound you're getting. If Rose had said, "listen to this great new riff/song I wrote". and technical deficiencies were getting in the way of your evaluating it, then you'd at least have a point.

I haven't been a fan of troll bait, it just reminds me how silly some people are. however in light that this clip was made to instigate hate, I wouldn't judge the playing behind it....especially since its a tone clip.

There's generally two kinds of trolling, mischieveous or purposeful trolling(which I do) and malicious trolling(which some people on HCFX probably do). There's nothing wrong with instigating a reaction if it isn't intended maliciously, which it wasn't since I was trying to prove a point.
