I discovered Saul through the NIN connection, like many others. I thought the Niggy Tardust album was brilliant.

I first heard of him when I saw him perform with NIN in NOLA in '05. Two days later, I bought his self-titled. Great stuff! Seeing him open for NIN was AWESOME! I was a little underwhelmed with Niggy Tardust when it first came out, but it's grown on me a lot.
Incidentally, I also saw him when he joined NIN onstage for a song and a half in Atlanta last year; BRILLIANT! I only regret that I've never seen him on a solo headlining date... it's always been with NIN

I love Amethyst Rock Star, it's one of the coolest outside of the box hiphop records I know of. Curious what this new thing is going to be.
