The CV series is the Vista series of the 2000's.
These are comparable to Fender Japan in EVERY WAY except for price and decal on the headstock.
This is yet another example of Squier showing Fender how it's done.

+1 I tried one of the strats and then I tried a Fender Standard strat, the tones were very similar and I liked the neck on Squier even better.

Absolutely.
My bandmate was looking to buy a tele, a few months ago so we went and tried a bunch of them. We ended up A/Bing a CV against an American STD and other than the pickups being decidedly hotter and possibly better shielding in the STD, I didn't notice any differences that would considerably matter when playing at the gain levels that we play at, let alone for 4 times the money. He got the CV

Also, the STD's body is made out of Alder or Poplar or some shit. the CV is made of Pine. Stuff THAT in your pipe, corksniffers. It's fucking (lol) period (lol) correct!

We don't but Offset has a Jaguar/Jazzmaster builder.

http://www.offsetguitars.com/dressing_room/index.htm

It's a downloadable flash applet, though.

I'm sure a search for Strat, Telecaster, Gibson, builder, dressing room will turn up loads of stuff, too.

i did the same thing at a sam ash. i liked the beefier neck of the std, but the frets needed dressing. wtf? cv was much more resonant unplugged and the frets were not sticking out the side of the neck. i am thinking about putting seymour duncan quarter pounds in it with a four way switch so i can run pups in series.

here i am with my les paul...

The pickups and knobs imaging aren't working for me. Tried on several different browsers, Mac OS X 10.5.8.

But gives me an excuse to post my Mustang here.

That's weird...
You mean that the menus or elements don't load or is it that you can't drag them onto the guitar?

That's a really nice one, man! Is the finish stock? I've never, ever seen a Cherryburst 'stang before.

Click and drag?  never mind.

Thanx. Definitely not stock. I bought if off ebay. I think it may have been a Duo Sonic body in a previous life.

Anyhow, yeah the interface works fine
