Your favourite recent thrash(y) bands/albums/songs

Post by jfrey »

What do you think are the best new thrash (or thrashy) bands, or new releases by bands that may or may not themselves be new?

Here are a few of mine:

I've been diggin' the new Howl - the vox aren't trashy, but the riffs kinda are: http://howl.bandcamp.com/
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I'll have to do that. 'The previous record 'Full of Hell' was pretty sick.
I highly recommend checking out the new Sylosis record. They're a good reminder that standard tuning and guitar solos can still rip you a new one in a memorable, well-crafted kinda way.

Excellent - I'll have to check them out!

for newer thrash I tend to like the more hardcore leaning stuff. ALA Municipal Waste and Send More Paramedics. The metaly thrash just sounds like rehashed early 80s Metallica riffs to me :idk:

80s thrash was my shit in early high school though, so maybe I'm just burnt out on it at this point.
