Help me get my fuzz on!!!!

Post by godofthegrove »

I've always played straight distortion.....grunge, death metal, turbo distortion......

I'm looking for suggestions on Fuzz!!!!!

I'm interested in like a buzzsaw type fuzz like a Fu Manchu stoner rock sound but a little more low end but still has the buzzsaw sound.....

lol if that made any sense to anyone......please help me!!!!

Cheers

Probably Russian Big Muff, with a Danelectro Fish N' Chips to fuss around more with the EQ. Both would cost less than $100.

Superfuzz is pretty gnarly. So's the Beebaa.
If you want lower tech/garagey fuzz, how about a Fuzzrite? Or a Shin-ei FY-2?
Good deals done with all these guys

You won't get too much low end out of an FY 2 although I'd still recommend the GGG clone just for kicks it's pretty unique. But yeah some kind of muff variant perhaps? Eau Claire Thunder? I've never tried it but I like the demo...

I don't know about that. The bass fuzz in "Exit Music" is an FY-2, and it has tons of low-end.

If you dig fuzz and fu manchu...CREEPY FINGERS.
The owner is the bass player for fu manchu, so he might have a few good suggestions for you.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?
