yeah, that'd make it work for whatever software. if i do it i'd rather just do it w/ other ableton users so it could be a session passed back and forth, edited and mixed as it goes & such.

The gear or the music. A few of our songs are on my soundcloud in my sig. For the gear, we've got an Access Virus kB, a Nord Lead 2, a Korg Triton, a Korg Electribe EM-1, a Yamaha P-60 for the real piano sounds, and an Alesis SR16 for drums. And that's not counting the modular I'm putting together.

I just recently started a band with someone i found via craigslist. I've been making music for a while, but i took a break from being in a band for a few years. By the time i was ready to start again, most of my friends had started other bands and had no time for another, so i had to search out of my usual. It seems to be working out so far.

:idk: for someone who wasn't in a band or doing any studio work, I considered it to be a but load of gear to just be sitting there in my buddy's bedroom. So I made him put it to use

crack. the answer is always selling crack.

or running hoes.

but crack takes up less warehouse space.

'specially if you specialize in BBW's.

I've always been to bands, except for a few years black parental sabbatical I took and resigned from my beloved bands to concentrate on the family.

Took the opportunity to do even crazier stuff after leaving the old metal bands but noticed soon enough I have hard time running all the shit by myself - after getting used to deal with band chemistry and labels and all that - and started my new band Fuzzifer. And I love the new freedom but :idk: I still kinda need that group thing going on, I'm just handicapped like that. I was asked to do solo recordings and some solo bass appearances but... still I prefer a group.

So I just came up on having some time available to jam with some folks. GOD DAMN IT. I need to fucking find someone to play with! FUCK! I want it to be mostly feeling the moment type music though. I don't like being structured and held to a certain style or type. Just whatever's clever. You know what I mean?

I'm kind of in a musical rut right now, so collaborating with someone...anyone...would seriously help I think. Fuck me.

I was so frustrated earlier I lift my bass over my head and contemplated smashing it all Trent Reznor style on my basement floor. Then I realized what I was doing and said "I'm sorry my precious, please forgive me!"

Been there..... I'm also glad I didn't actually smash anything. Whenever I feel frustrated, I find out that it's because I'm trying to nail someone else's sound. As soon as I stop doing that, things feel much nicer. Also, tone hunts are downward spirals of frustration and non-productivity.

I've always had a hard time finding band mates for a few reasons:

A: They aren't into playing the same stuff I want to play. I'm tired of listing influences, because while those influences color my sound to an extent, I really want to do something original. I don't want to accidentally mimic my influences too noticeably.
B: They don't have enough time to practice, or else don't want to take it seriously (which I DO)
C: There's nowhere to practice reliably around here, where we can drum sets and such safely, leading to everyone else kind of pissing-out on me....
D: EGOS. Though I'm guilty of this too. It's why I basically only want to find a drummer. That way I don't have to be concerned with someone else's guitar tuning, clashing riffs, blah blah blah. . .
E: I haven't done drugs in AAAAAAGES, and I don't really drink at all. The types of music I love are immersed with these things..... and this leads me back to B: them not wanting to take it seriously.

All that being said, if any of y'all live in the Pacific Northwest or near Austin, TX (because I should be moving sometime this fall and those are my choices, I think....) and you want to seriously play some kind of techy (but not necessarily really fast) metal-inspired, noised-out, hardcore freak-out music....then you PM me...aiight? I'll give you all my influences and shit.
