The Road.

Post by smile_man »

Anyone read it? If you like Post-Apocalyptic related things then you will like this book (I tell my friends that it's basically Godspeed You[!] Black Emperor[!]the book). I just finished it today, and now I've found out that the movie is coming out next month.

Looks pretty titzzzzzzzzzz. Although some scenes from the trailer look questionable, the scenery looks exactly as I had pictured it. :idk:

I've read it and was excited for the movie until the trailer. Hopefully the people that did the trailer just cut it horribly. I have another of John Hillcoat's movies (The Proposition) and it's really good, so I'm assuming the movie is in good hands.

What don't you like about it? The only part that didn't make sense was all the people running together. :idk:

The people that did the trailer cut it to look like an action movie, or something. Mostly the end with the stupidly intense music and that lame-ass stock scream sound. Pretty whack.

Like I said, though, it's probably not indicative of the actual film. Just a shoddy editing job by the trailer company.

I suppose you're right. That scream was pretty bad, I'm fairly certain it was from Jurassic Park, I know I've heard it somewhere.

No, it's not the Wilhelm scream. It's the one that sounds like "YEEEAARRRGGGHHHH." I remember finding out what movie it originated from, but I've forgotten the movie, now.

Oh, and this is the movie where it originated from:

Wait, what's that at 2:15? Han Solo fighting STs in a saloon?
