Liability of Websites That Allow UGC: Websites are generally immune under U.S. law from liability if user generated content is defamatory, deceptive or otherwise harmful. The website is immune even if it knows that the third-party content is harmful and refuses to take it down. An exception to this general rule may exist if a website promises to take down the content and then fails to do so.

I haven't seen Tom promise anywhere to take down the content, quite the opposite actually. If Minoan did decide to try and take ILF to court to take the content down, they'd learn their own lesson real quick. I.e; someone (their lawyer) taking all of your money and you get nothing in return.

We have nothing to fear, other then fear its self.

lulz. here's the thing to me - even if they're a legit company, they have NO IDEA HOW THE INTERNET WORKS. you can't go on a forum as alts and shills and not get caught at it. hell, you can't even do it and be half-convincing. even without the owner of the site calling you on your bullshit.

so even if they didn't sound like every pay to play booker or random hype spewing, nothing to back it up "manager" i've ever dealt with writ large.... and all these wishful attempts at bullying bad press away (HELLLLOOOOooooo BEYONCE) wasn't so distateful.... how the FUCK would one feel comfortable giving money to have people represent you that can't internet.

HOW DO I INTERNET.

 Gif perfection.

Curious that a "legitimate" marketing company isn't aware that transparency is internet marketing 101.
Not much of a contribution; just want to make the first page on Google.

Despite the appearance that Minoan Music may be confidence scammers, they don't conduct themselves professionally or politely. It reflects poorly on their maturity and intelligence that they seem (at best) unwilling or (at worst) incapable of basic reading comprehension.

This would have been such a GREAT opportunity for them to generate a ton of GOOD publicity. What a waste. I hope they learn something positive from it (such as how the Internet works, how the law works, what slander & libel actually mean, and how to NOT speak to potential clients).

I hope they challenge themselves to actually take on board the feedback they've received, though I doubt they will.
